House of Starts member data notice

Who is responsible

HoSt Innovation Foundation, operating House of Starts (HoSt), decides who belongs to its network at host.meshnect.com and how its member records are used. Upsquare Technosys Pvt. Ltd. provides the software and is responsible for Meshnect accounts and single sign-on. This notice supplements the Meshnect Privacy Policy; it is a member notice, not the parties' data-processing contract.

Why EventPass records were imported

HoSt imported its EventPass membership records to prepare the HoSt network and allow eligible members to claim their profiles individually. The imported fields are name, email, phone, and company where available, exactly as entered. HoSt uses these records to identify members, administer invitations and membership, and support claims. Its documented legal basis for this import and continued storage is the consent each attendee gave, collected manually by House of Starts, for their details to be used for the House of Starts member network. Prior EventPass membership alone is not consent to Meshnect, publication, or a new use.

Hidden profiles and individual claims

Unclaimed records are hidden from the public and other members. Only authorized HoSt administrators and Meshnect personnel who need access for administration, support, or security may access them. They are not shared with other networks. HoSt public sign-up is closed. Claims are invite-only, with one individual link per person and no bulk broadcasts.

If you receive an authorized invitation, follow your personal link, verify your record, create or sign in to your Meshnect account, and review the information and sharing choices before claiming. vCarrd is not a sign-up path. Do not forward the link. Claiming does not automatically publish all fields or enroll you in other networks. If a link is missing, expired, or incorrect, contact hello@houseofstarts.com.

Your choices and removal

You do not have to claim a profile. Request access, correction, removal, consent withdrawal, or grievance review at hello@houseofstarts.com, without creating an account. We may verify your identity proportionately. Unclaimed records are removed after 90 days from the date we send the claim notice, unless limited retention is legally required. Valid removal requests are handled sooner. Content you post in HoSt stays until you delete it, leave the network, or the network closes, and is then deleted within 30 days. Leaving HoSt does not close your Meshnect account.

HoSt uses member data only for disclosed, lawful purposes and does not sell it or use imported records for bulk marketing. Hosting, transactional email, international processing, security, other rights, and legal escalation are described in the platform policy. People under 18 may not participate; contact us if such a record was imported. EU/UK rights apply where the relevant law applies, and the import must have its own lawful basis and required notice.
